PHOENIX monorail equipment is one of a kind. Installed under the hall ceiling, there are effectively no barriers to cylinder transport between prepress area, cylinder storage and printing presses: fully-automated, quiet, fast and safe operation even over long distances.

The most important features:

• Standard load 2500 kg, travel speed freely selectable up to 120 m/min
• Standard lifting system in order to bridge differences in level of 30 m/min
• Accessibility to cylinder storage on each level available
• Automatically switchable, rail points integrated into the rail lines in order to approach different objectives
• Quiet operation due to transport by coated castors and wheels on profiled aluminium rails with integrated conductor lines
• Variable cylinder loading for large differences in length
• Fixation of cylinder by prism holders in order to avoid axial slipping
• Safeguard clamp for cylinders in order to prevent mechanical crash, making it possible to drive over staff aisles
• Fully-automatic control by radio modules
• Prevention of collisions by program control and ultrasonic sensors
